Former Service Personnel Development Course

Making the transition from service life to civilian life is not easy. ProAction Development is a social enterprise training company based in the South West of England and is dedicated to helping former service personnel become a success in civilian life.

ProAction development has formed as association with Hush Farms, a social farm in Devon to offer a unique experience for former personnel to help them make the decisions and take the action necessary to move their lives forward after life in the services and prison.

The Programme – Moving Forward With a Renewed Purpose
The course we offer combines farm based activities with a cognitive behaviour based personal development programme.  Moving Forward with a Renewed Purpose is uniqueto ProAction Development and this aspect of the programme is delivered in the classroom, by experienced facilitators/trainers some of whom are ex-servicemen themselves.

Land based trainers lead farm activities which reinforce the classroom activity.  In recognition of the significant difficulties faced by military personnel, we have designed the programme so that veterans leave the farm feeling "uplifted" having built their trust to ask others for help and support.
